Youth Development Course

More Confidence for Life

A Personal Development Experience for Young People (15–18)

This course is designed to help young people build confidence, self-awareness, and life skills they can carry into school, relationships, work, and adulthood.

Through experiential learning, participants discover how they show up, communicate, and respond under pressure. They build greater self-belief, emotional awareness, and the ability to interact with others clearly and respectfully — skills that support leadership, without needing to “be a leader” yet.

Even confident young people can struggle to see themselves clearly. Horses can. They respond only to what’s real — presence, consistency, and trust — offering immediate, honest feedback in a safe and supportive environment.

Horses don’t judge grades, popularity, or social media. They respond to who a young person is in the moment — helping them develop confidence, responsibility, and calm communication.

In the arena, subtle patterns emerge — habits that either hold young people back or help them step forward with greater assurance. This isn’t theory. It’s real-time insight that builds self-confidence and personal responsibility from the inside out.

What You’ll Experience

Immediate Feedback: Horses mirror your energy, intention, and alignment in real time — revealing patterns of leadership you may not even be aware of.

Embodied Learning: Leadership is not just about what you say, but how you carry yourself. You’ll experience the impact of your body language, tone, and presence.

Safe Exploration: This is not about performance. It’s about curiosity, experimentation, and learning in a supportive environment.

Transformative Insights: In one interaction, you’ll discover more about your leadership strengths and blind spots than months of traditional coaching could reveal.

Course Outcomes

Authentic Presence: Learn how to lead with clarity, trust, and alignment, even in uncertain situations.

“Before the course, I didn’t realise how much I avoided setting boundaries. I learned how to be clear and confident about what I need. Almost immediately my friendships felt healthier and more respectful. I feel more confident showing up as myself without worrying about disappointing others.”

Hadley
16 Years Old

“The experiential leadership development program gave me a visual and practical example of leadership concepts that are usually just explained or imagined. This made it so much easier to understand and apply them in real-life leadership scenarios. The team created such a comfortable environment where we could learn openly, admit to mistakes, share our realisations, and still enjoy the day. Most importantly, it allowed us to really connect as a leadership team – learning how to understand each other’s needs, support one another, and respond in ways that make us stronger together.”

Evie
Emerging Leader

“I still think about how impactful the leadership development program with the horses was. Learning in the moment how my actions affected others, and seeing what my leadership style actually looked like to me and those around me, was really powerful. The experience taught me how to truly connect with the other student leaders and explore different ways to communicate and lead authentically, rather than relying on bravado or fake confidence.”
