Do I need horse experience to participate?
No previous horse experience is needed. All work with the horses is done on the ground, never riding, and is facilitated in a safe, supported environment for all experience levels.
Why work with horses for leadership development?
Horses offer instant, unbiased feedback to your presence and behaviour. This clarity illuminates your leadership patterns and opens the doorway to meaningful development and enhancement.
What makes it different (…apart from the horses) to other leadership courses?
This course is experiential, embodied, and reflective — not theoretical. You learn through real interaction, emotional insight, and genuine behavioural shifts, not worksheets or lectures.
What can I expect during the course?
You’ll take part in guided activities with horses, individual reflection, and practical leadership coaching. Expect powerful insights, surprising emotional clarity, and a deeply memorable experience.
What leadership skills will I develop?
You’ll strengthen self-awareness, calm authority, communication clarity, and emotional regulation. You’ll also build confidence, presence, and the ability to influence without force.
Who is this course for?
It’s designed for anyone seeking to grow as a leader. From executives to emerging leaders to individuals wanting deeper self-understanding. No prior experience with horses or leadership programs is needed.
Do you offer private or team sessions?
Yes. We offer both one-to-one experiences and tailored sessions for teams. Each is customised to suit your goals, pace, and level of experience.
How long is the course for?
Individual courses are 4 hours, team courses are 6 hours, and youth sessions run for 2 hours. You can also choose a multi-course series for deeper or longer-term development.
Are you guaranteed results?
While individual experiences vary, most participants describe profound personal insight and meaningful change. The process works best when you arrive open, curious, and willing to learn.
Is it recommended to do more than one course?
Many people return because insights continue to deepen over time. A second or third session helps embed new behaviours and explore deeper layers of leadership.
Where does the course take place?
We run our courses from our primary equine-assisted leadership property in Malabar, Sydney, just 20 minutes from the CBD, and we also work with a network of partner properties across Australia. Each site is carefully chosen for its tranquil, natural environment that enhances deep learning.
